TI Series Telecentric Illumination

VT-TI Series Telecentric Illumination emits highly collimated parallel light beams. When matched with telecentric lenses, it forms a complete telecentric imaging system to eliminate perspective distortion and edge shadowing, improving edge contrast and dimensional measurement accuracy for precision machine vision applications.

Two construction types available:

  • Standard models (without suffix L): Straight output telecentric light
  • -L suffix models: 90° bent telecentric illumination

    Built with internal reflective optical path, the -L series turns light output by 90 degrees. It drastically reduces horizontal installation footprint, specially designed for compact automated equipment and space-restricted projects such as semiconductor inspection.

Collimated telecentric light suppresses unwanted diffuse reflection, delivering sharp edges without halo or distortion, ensuring stable and repeatable measurement results.

FAQ

Q: What is the main difference between -L bent version and standard version?

A: Optical performance parameters remain consistent. The -L version features a 90° bent light output direction. Select bent models when horizontal space inside machine is insufficient for straight mounting. It is widely chosen for wafer and semiconductor inspection equipment.

Q: Can these telecentric lights work with any telecentric lens?

A: We suggest the effective illumination diameter of the light should be larger than the field of view of the matched lens, and the working distance needs to match the recommended WD range. Contact us for optical matching consultation.
