We've deployed the iVaS-1280LW-SL in a scientific imaging project requiring both high sensitivity and long operating times. The 1.2W power consumption is remarkably low for a detector of this resolution, which helps significantly in portable systems. The image quality is outstanding, and the thermal detail captured by the sensor exceeds our expectations. This has become one of the most capable thermal imaging modules we've evaluated in recent years.

Excellent thermal resolution and very low power consumption. Integration with our MIPI-based embedded platform was easier than expected. Would like to see additional sample projects in future SDK releases, but overall a solid product.

The flexibility of the lens options was one of the main reasons we selected this module. We currently use a motorized lens configuration for remote monitoring applications and have been extremely satisfied with the image clarity. Thermal contrast is excellent even in challenging environments, and the USB 3.0 interface allows smooth data transfer for real-time analysis.

Very impressive thermal performance overall. We use this detector for predictive maintenance in a manufacturing facility, and the ≤30mK sensitivity helps us detect subtle temperature changes before equipment failures occur. Setup under Linux was relatively straightforward using the provided SDK. Documentation could be expanded for first-time integrators, but the hardware itself has been reliable.

We upgraded from a 640×512 thermal module and the difference was immediately noticeable. The 1280×1024 resolution provides significantly more detail, especially during long-range industrial inspections. Small temperature anomalies that were previously difficult to identify are now clearly visible. The image quality combined with the low power consumption makes this an excellent choice for embedded thermal systems.
